About Max
I am a first-year student at Imperial College London studying Electronic and Electrical Engineering. I have been tutoring children in London for four years and really enjoy helping students overcome their weakness in a subject and hopefully find greater interest in it than before.
In my experience at school students who were better at a subject naturally took more interest in it, thus improving themselves further and repeating the cycle. For this reason, I put a large focus on showing how subjects like maths can be exciting by pushing beyond what is set out in the syllabus a child might be learning without putting too much load or pressure on them. I aim to never tell a child how something should be done within mathematics and expect them to learn it but rather show them from scratch how a concept works, enabling them to better remember for themselves.
Qualifications: A* in Maths and Further Maths A level, D1 in Physics Pre U and A in Chemistry A level. I achieved 9 A*s at GCSE and one A. I also received an A* in an Extended Project Qualification titled, "Designing and Building a Motion Controlled Robotic arm", in which I demonstrated the use of game engines within robotics.
