About Oriol
I’m a 27-year-old Math PhD student at Concordia University, originally from Barcelona, Spain. Over the past 10 years, I’ve taught math in many different contexts: online and in person, to kids discovering the basics, high school students preparing for university entrance exams, and college students working through challenging courses. Rates can be adjusted based on the student’s level and lesson type. My lessons focus on building problem-solving skills and helping students gain confidence, while also showing how math can be clear and enjoyable. I can teach in English, Spanish or Catalan.

I adapt lessons to each student’s needs, whether it’s background support, reinforcement of class material, or focused exam preparation.
I focus on developing problem-solving skills and helping students understand the reasoning behind the methods, so they can apply their knowledge in many different contexts. I usually prepare problems with solutions, so students can continue practicing during the week based on what we worked on in class.
I also enjoy sharing the side of maths that makes it interesting and rewarding to learn.
