About Hazel

My journey into mathematics began with fascination for patterns and the way numbers explain real structures. I earned an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I studied both theoretical foundations and practical analytical applications. With 8 years of teaching experience, I have helped students move from frustration to clarity through structured learning.

I believe math should be taught through patience and step-by-step explanation. My teaching style focuses on breaking problems into manageable parts, using examples, visual tools, and guided reasoning. I enjoy supporting learners who feel anxious about math, helping them rebuild confidence through steady progress.

Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with mathematics through continual study and interest in scientific applications. Teaching math is rewarding because students often experience a mindset shift. Helping learners discover confidence and success in mathematics motivates my work deeply.

About the lesson

Maths becomes much easier when students learn to see it as a connected system of ideas rather than isolated formulas. In my lessons, I guide learners through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus foundations, and problem-solving strategies with clear explanation and steady encouragement. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply so they can approach questions with confidence.

Lessons are shaped around the learner’s level. Beginners strengthen core skills in arithmetic, basic equations, and visual reasoning. Intermediate students develop fluency in algebraic manipulation, graphs, coordinate geometry, and multi-step solutions. Advanced learners refine exam technique, proof reasoning, complex applications, and higher-level problem solving. Practice and supportive feedback are included in every session.

Maths lessons help students build focus, resilience, and independent thinking. Many learners gain confidence once concepts feel logical rather than intimidating. My goal is to create a supportive space where students can succeed academically while developing strong reasoning skills for life.
