About Emily
I'm a full time civil servant (full security clearance, DBS and background checks have been completed) but I also dance and go to the gym in my spare time.
Since graduating I've supported friends and children with their own studies which I find enjoyable as I take a very relaxed approach to my teaching to prevent the hatred people often have for maths, and make it more interesting.
Although I've considered a full time career in teaching I have decided that for me I much prefer the individual approach to teaching that a standardised 'one size fits all' method that many schools utilise.

Teaching methods can be adapted based on needs, if specific topics are unknown I usually initially start by working through an exam together to highlight topics of issue.
I have experience tutoring mostly secondary school maths and science, but have also taught dance and music in the past so very adaptable and experienced with a variety of needs and personalities!
Lesson length is completely dependent on the student and level, I'm happy to work around what works best for each adult/child and level required.
