About Chandran
I've always enjoyed studying and teaching others. I have a strong academic background. I was a high-achiever at school and hold a 2:1 computer science degree from Warwick University, followed by a successful career in the tech industry as a software developer and team leader, where clear communication and breaking down complex ideas are an essential part of the job. These skills translate directly into helping children understand why something works, growing their confidence and allowing them to find the best approach to solving problems.

I've been supporting my own son through 11+ exam preparation so I have real experience of the process and I'm living the same exam boards, timing pressure, and question styles as the families I'd be working with. I tutor 9-10 year olds in 11+ Maths and English, covering arithmetic fluency, reasoning-style problems, comprehension and creative writing.
I aim to keep sessions calm and encouraging rather than another source of exam pressure. I see plenty of that pressure first-hand already, from the other side of the table.
Lessons last one hour.
I'm DBS cleared.
