About RACHEL
I am a former research scientist with 20 years experience of teaching and tutoring. I have experience of teaching dyslexic and maths-phobic students, and students whose first language is not English. My students have achieved passes to A*, and gone on to further and higher education.

My methods are student-based, depending on the individual's strengths and weaknesses. I favour using practical and real-world examples to help explain concepts and solutions, taking mathematics out of the classroom and employing a no-desks intuitive approach to learning. I use relaxation techniques to ease students into difficult topics.
