About Cameron
I want to tutor as I know what it is like to struggle with a difficult topic in maths/science, especially when the teacher's teaching style doesn't suit you. I often turned to tutors when this happened, and they would help massively by explaining things in perhaps a different way, or just being someone I could ask more in-depth questions to in a 1-to-1 session. Through their help, and finding studying techniques that worked for me, I was able to achieve all 7-9 grades in GCSE, and 3 A* at A-level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I am currently studying Physics at the University of Southampton, and am coming towards the end of my second year. I want to do for young students what my tutors did for me, and help them achieve the best they can for themselves.

In my sessions, I will begin by getting a thorough understanding of how the student likes to learn, be that through visual aids such as diagrams, or through analogies to better grasp difficult topics. I will aim to encourage an in-depth understanding of the content as a whole, leaving the student able to feel confident in their knowledge. Sessions will consist of a balance of conceptual learning and practice with problem questions. I am confidently able to tutor maths and physics to GCSE and A level standard. I will keep the sessions engaging, encouraging, and aim to foster an atmosphere which keeps the learning relaxed, but also focused and effective.
