About Oriana Rose

Hi, I'm Oriana, nice to meet you! I am a qualified tutor in all things STEM! A little bit about my background in teaching: I have been tutoring one-to-one for the last 5 years and have covered just about all ages. Whether that's teaching English as a foreign language to pre-schoolers, or helping sixth form students with university applications, I have just about done it all.

Since I graduated from UCL with a Maths and Computer Science degree, I am able to teach these subjects to a high university level; all other science subjects I can do up to A-Level. I have experience helping students get into top universities for engineering degrees, and so I also offer Personal Statement workshops.

If you are preparing for an exam that's coming up soon like GCSEs or even 11+, I am sure to be of help !

Since I have much classroom experience, I am open to group sessions, and in fact I encourage them because I find students engage a lot more when they are surrounded by peers.

About the lesson

For my GCSE, A-Level or University level students I like to focus on the exams that they are preparing for. This means regular practice papers, and take-home questions. Through this kind of practice we identify areas of weakness and hone in on improving our answers to those type of questions.

For 11+ tutoring, I utilise a set of practice books and guide my students in the correct direction.

For general learning, such as for students who are not yet currently undertaking any form of exam, my approach varies greatly. For example, teaching English as a foreign language depends on the age range and skill of my student. Please don't hesitate to get in contact to hear more.
