I am a student currently studying at Cardiff University. I previously did a year of peer mentoring at my secondary school which involved helping a gcse level student with his homework and helping them prepare for their gcse exams.

When teaching I like to allow the student to feel comfortable and ask as many questions as they please. I like to make sure I am very clear and precisely. Additionally, maths is all linked so I like to revisit old work and show them the correlation to further the understanding. As a student, I know that everyone learns differently, so it’s about finding what is the best way for that particular student to learn.
