About Kate
I have tutored both GCSE and A-level Maths, as well as Further Maths, for multiple exam boards including AQA and OCR MEI. I myself scored A*'s in Further Maths and Maths at GCSE and A-level, and one of my most recent students went from a 4 predicted to achieving a 6 in his GCSE Maths.
I started tutoring by helping my friends with their Maths at GCSE and A-level, and found tutoring maths is something I very much enjoy. I strongly believe the teacher can make or break how a child feels about Maths and so always aim to move at a comfortable pace for my students, whilst covering content and keeping the sessions enjoyable rather than stressful, as a school environment can sometimes be.

Tutoring will take place online and is for current GCSE or A-level students studying Maths and/or Further Maths. Sessions can be from 30 minutes to 2 hours long, depending on your preference. I can do 'one-off' sessions to cover specific topics a student is struggling with, or regular weekly sessions, where I will work through the exam board syllabus with the student, looking first at understanding the basics of each topic and then working through some questions, increasing in difficulty. I am always happy to go over any papers or questions done outside of the sessions if needed.
