About Abigail
I am about to go into my final year as a Mathematics student at the University of Bath, and prior to this, I completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry (A* in all three) back in 2019.
I've had a passion for Maths from a really young age, and have always gained so much satisfaction from working through complex problems, as well as from helping others to do the same, hence I gain a lot of enjoyment from tutoring sessions.
Outside of Maths, I really enjoy running (I did the London Marathon last year - definitely the best day of my life!), as well as going for long scenic walks, and playing the piano.

I take a personalised approach to lessons, initially working with students to come up with a focused and specific content plan, then executing lessons to a high standard through a mixture of teaching methods such as detailed exam-style examples, proof dives and giving useful context, which is often missed out in a school setting.
I have had 4 years of tutoring experience, including 5 A-level students and 3 GCSE students, all of whom exceeded their personal grade goals (or met in the case of 3 A* mathematics students), and am comfortable tutoring GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics, the FSMQ, and A-Level Mathematics. I can also cover the pure content from A-Level Further Mathematics.
I typically start students off on 1 hour a week sessions, but have the flexibility to increase this to 2 sessions a week, or longer sessions if we deem this necessary.
