About Noah

Hi, I’m Noah, a Maths tutor with a strong academic background and recent first-hand experience of GCSE and A-Level study. I achieved A* grades in both A-Level Maths and Further Maths, alongside B grades in Physics and Chemistry. At GCSE, I achieved a Grade 9 in Maths, Grade 8 in Further Maths, Grade 9 in Physics and Grade 7 in Chemistry.

Alongside my own studies, I have experience tutoring students preparing for GCSE Maths, students moving into A-Level Maths, and A-Level students resitting exams. Because I completed these exams recently, I understand the challenges students face and the revision techniques that genuinely make a difference.

My approach is friendly and supportive while remaining focused on results. I believe in being honest with students about where they are performing well and where improvement is needed, because identifying weaknesses early is one of the best ways to achieve progress. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions while working towards clear academic goals through online lessons.

Outside of academics, I enjoy music and sports, particularly tennis.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Noah. Having completed my A-Levels recently, I understand both the content and the pressures students face because I have been through the process myself. I know effective revision strategies, common mistakes students make, and practical ways to improve exam performance.

I also have previous tutoring experience, having worked with five students in the past, helping them strengthen their understanding and build confidence in mathematics. This experience has helped me adapt my teaching style to suit different learning approaches and individual needs.

My teaching approach focuses on building understanding first and then applying it through exam-style practice. During lessons, I explain concepts step by step, demonstrate methods clearly, and then work through questions with students before giving them similar problems to solve independently. I also focus on exam technique, helping students understand how to structure answers and maximise marks efficiently.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Maths students. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence alongside improving their grades.
