About Sarah
Hi! My name is Sarah. I am a student at Stony Brook University majoring in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I've been tutoring students both virtually and in person for a few years now. I have experience tutoring in math, SAT English and math, French, and general homework help. I got 1420 on my SAT (730 on math and 690 on English) and I have multiple SAT prep books and resources to share. I have taken 5 years of French, 2 years of Italian, Regents Algebra 1, Regents Geometry, Regents Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, and AP Statistics, as well as college Calc 1, 2, and 3.

I am very flexible in my teaching style. If something isn't working for you, I have no problem adapting until we are successful. I like to incorporate a good balance of practice questions, reviewing strategies, and fun quiz games. I like to walk through a question or two first and then have you try on your own and correct mistakes from there. I often try to find games or other fun ways to practice. I look forward to working with you!
