About Kusum
My interest in mathematics developed during my school years when I realized how logical thinking could solve complex problems. This curiosity led me to pursue higher education in mathematics, where I completed a Master’s degree in Mathematics. Over the past 8 years, I have taught students from different academic backgrounds and levels. Teaching mathematics has allowed me to combine my love for numbers with my passion for helping others learn.
I believe that patience and clarity are important qualities in teaching mathematics. Many students feel nervous about the subject because they think it is too difficult. My approach focuses on simplifying concepts and guiding students through problems step by step. I adapt my explanations depending on the student’s learning style so that each learner can feel comfortable and confident during lessons.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring puzzles, logical challenges, and mathematical discussions. These activities help me stay connected with the subject and bring fresh examples into my lessons. Watching students improve their understanding and confidence in mathematics is extremely rewarding. My goal is to support learners so they can succeed academically and develop useful problem-solving skills for the future.

Mathematics becomes easier when students understand the ideas behind formulas instead of only memorizing steps. In my lessons, I focus on explaining how mathematical concepts connect with each other. Topics such as numbers, algebra, geometry, and equations are introduced through simple explanations and practical examples. Students learn how to break complex problems into smaller parts and approach them with confidence. I encourage learners to ask questions and think through each step so that they develop a clear understanding of the subject.
Each lesson is designed to support different learning levels. Beginners start with fundamental ideas like number operations, fractions, and basic equations. Intermediate students explore algebraic expressions, graphs, and geometry concepts in greater depth. Advanced learners work on problem solving, logical reasoning, and exam preparation strategies. I guide students through solutions step by step so they can understand not just the answer but also the reasoning behind it.
Over time, students begin to see mathematics as a structured and logical subject rather than a difficult one. As their confidence grows, they become more comfortable solving problems independently. My goal is to help students develop strong analytical skills while building a positive attitude toward mathematics. With regular practice and clear explanation, learners discover that mathematics can be both manageable and rewarding.
