About Eli

My passion for mathematics began with curiosity about how abstract ideas can explain real-world systems. This interest led me to complete a B.Sc in Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Industrial Mathematics, where I explored both pure theory and applied problem-solving. Over the past 11 years, I have supported students in building strong foundations and achieving academic success through patient, structured teaching.

I believe effective maths teaching requires more than formulas. I work to make concepts intuitive by using clear examples, logical progression, and encouragement at every step. My approach adapts to each student’s learning style, whether they need slow reinforcement, deeper challenges, or exam-focused refinement.

Outside of tutoring, I remain engaged with mathematics through reading, applied modelling, and exploring interdisciplinary connections. Teaching is deeply rewarding because I see learners transform from uncertainty into confidence. Helping students become capable, independent, and well-rounded thinkers is at the heart of my work.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes meaningful when students see it as a language of patterns rather than a set of rules to memorise. My lessons are designed to build deep understanding through clear explanation, visual reasoning, and step-by-step discovery. I guide learners through algebraic thinking, calculus foundations, geometry, and probability in a way that feels approachable and engaging. Each session is structured, but also flexible, allowing students to ask questions freely and explore concepts without fear of mistakes.

I focus on strengthening the core skills that make maths easier over time. Students learn how to break down complex problems, recognise hidden relationships, and build confidence through consistent practice. Whether we are solving equations, interpreting graphs, or applying mathematical models, I emphasise reasoning over shortcuts. Learners gradually develop sharper accuracy and a calmer approach to challenging questions.

Maths lessons also help students grow beyond academics by improving focus, discipline, and analytical thinking. As students progress, they begin trusting their own ability to solve problems independently. My goal is to create a supportive learning space where every learner feels capable of excelling, improving steadily, and enjoying the satisfaction of true mathematical clarity.
