About Charlotte
My connection with mathematics developed from a fascination with patterns, structure, and problem-solving logic. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I deepened my understanding of both theoretical principles and practical applications. Over 12 years, I have guided learners from diverse backgrounds to build confidence in their analytical abilities, helping them transition from doubt to competence and enjoyment in the subject.
I approach teaching with patience, empathy, and clarity. Understanding how each student thinks is central to my methodology. I use visual aids, analogies, and step-by-step explanations to make abstract concepts intuitive. Lessons are structured yet flexible, ensuring that students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore different methods, and develop independence in problem-solving.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with mathematics through problem-solving practice, educational research, and curriculum development. This allows me to keep lessons relevant, modern, and stimulating. Teaching mathematics is highly rewarding because I witness students transform uncertainty into clarity, develop confidence, and cultivate analytical reasoning that serves them academically and beyond.
