Hi! I’m Brian Shen, an incoming Freshman at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York Univeristy.

The lessons I teach will be primarily for middle-school to high-school students, but I’m more than welcome to tutor elementary school students as well.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my firm background in mathematics competitions. I don’t simply just know the concepts, but I’m skilled in problem-solving and will be able to teach you to think critically as well.
I’ll break down each problem into its components and walk through the problems with you. Afterwards, we will try similar problems and I’ll allow you to do more of the problem-solving unless my assistance is required again.
In case one approach does not work, I’m well versed in relating different concepts to each other or trying new approaches, having worked at both numerous companies and as a private tutor.
