I have been teaching mathematics for 17 years. I have a 2:1 Hons degree in Mathematics and a PGCE in Mathematics. I have taught in several schools in the UK and also international schools in Qatar, Hong Kong, Thailand and Uzbekistan

I believe that mathematics lessons should be engaging, fun, challenging and accessible. I believe that I have an infectious passion for mathematics and empower students to become effective lifelong learners. I differentiate work in order to set appropriate activities and motivate students to maximise their achievements and potential. I often give students work with questions of varying difficulty and then I encourage them to choose which questions they want to tackle in order to give them ownership of their learning. I also differentiate the learning objectives so students can see clearly how to progress.
