About Alex
Hi! I'm Alex, a student at the University of Kent. I study Mathematics, with a focus on mechanics and pure-math. While Maths can seem daunting at first, coming to understand how seemingly unrelated topics connect and can be applied to the real world is one of the reasons why I have a passion for the subject.
It's my aim to try and convey Maths in a way that will both make the subject more interesting, and prepare students with the resources to tackle questions that don't have a single memorized method.

I try and make my lessons interactive, encouraging students to, even if they don't know the answer, try and pick apart what information in a question is necessary. This helps develop proper exam technique, which is often left as an afterthought compared to subject knowledge.
I can either teach entirely new topics that a student has yet to cover, or help understand a topic they have previously struggled with. Topics are paired with intermittent examples throughout, alongside a tested set of summary questions.
I teach GCSE at a lowest level, so I would recommend my lessons for ages 14+, or anyone studying GCSE/A-Level content.
