About Tessa
My journey in mathematics began with a strong interest in numbers, patterns, and logical thinking. I completed a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, where I developed deep conceptual knowledge and problem-solving ability. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them overcome difficulties and build confidence. Teaching math allows me to simplify complex ideas and support learners effectively.
My teaching style is clear, structured, and adaptable. I understand that each student learns differently, so I adjust my approach based on their needs. I focus on building strong basics, step-by-step problem solving, and regular practice. I also create a comfortable learning environment where students feel free to ask questions and learn without pressure. This helps them stay motivated and engaged.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring mathematics through problem-solving and learning new methods. This helps me keep my lessons fresh and effective. Teaching math is meaningful to me because I see students grow in both confidence and ability. Helping them move from confusion to clarity and develop a strong belief in their own skills is something I truly value, and I am dedicated to supporting their long-term success.

My maths lessons are designed to make learning clear, simple, and enjoyable for every student. I guide learners through topics like algebra, geometry, arithmetic, and basic calculus using step-by-step explanations. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply instead of memorizing formulas. Each lesson includes examples, practice problems, and clear methods that help students solve questions with confidence. This approach helps reduce fear and builds a strong foundation over time.
Lessons are planned based on the student’s level and learning needs. Beginners start with basic operations, simple equations, and number understanding. Intermediate learners focus on applying formulas, solving structured problems, and improving accuracy. Advanced students work on complex problems, logical reasoning, and exam strategies. I provide guided practice, corrections, and repeated explanation wherever needed. This ensures steady improvement and strong understanding.
Maths also helps students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills that are useful in many areas of life. As students begin to understand patterns and methods, they gain confidence in their ability to solve problems. Many students who once struggled start enjoying maths as they see their progress. My goal is to make maths simple and meaningful. I want students to feel confident, think clearly, and approach challenges with a positive mindset while building skills that support both academic success and real-world thinking.
