About Vivaan
My passion for Mathematics emerged from an early appreciation for structure, logic, and abstract reasoning. This interest led me to pursue an M.Math in Mathematical Sciences, deepening my understanding of both theory and application. Over 11 years of teaching, I have supported students ranging from elementary school math learners to those preparing for SAT math and Calculus-related challenges, helping them build confidence and independence. I believe effective math teaching depends on clarity and empathy. I focus on understanding how each student thinks before adjusting explanations to match their perspective. Whether teaching algebraic manipulation, geometry proofs, or multi-step reasoning, I emphasize understanding the logic behind every step. I encourage questions and normalize struggle as part of learning. Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with mathematics through problem exploration, educational research, and continuous refinement of teaching strategies. Teaching Mathematics is fulfilling because I witness students transform uncertainty into confidence, developing logical skills that benefit them academically and personally for years to come.

Mathematics becomes accessible when learners understand relationships rather than memorizing procedures. My lessons emphasize conceptual clarity across elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and more advanced topics through calm, structured explanation. I guide students to recognize patterns, connections, and logical progression within problems, helping them approach challenges with confidence. Lessons are interactive and paced carefully to encourage understanding without pressure, allowing learners to build trust in their reasoning abilities.
Instruction is carefully adapted to the learner’s stage. Younger students strengthen number sense and confidence through elementary school math foundations. Middle-level learners focus on algebraic reasoning, proportional thinking, and geometry visualization commonly encountered in middle school math. Advanced students refine skills in algebra, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus concepts. Each lesson includes guided practice, independent problem-solving, and reflective discussion to reinforce learning.
Mathematics lessons foster patience, discipline, and analytical thinking. As students gain confidence, they begin approaching problems calmly and systematically. Many learners experience reduced anxiety and improved performance across subjects. My goal is to help students view mathematics as a logical, learnable system that rewards curiosity, persistence, and thoughtful effort rather than speed or memorization.
