About Daphne
My interest in mathematics grew from a fascination with logical structure and elegant problem-solving. This led me to complete a B.Sc in Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I developed a deep analytical foundation. Over the past 12 years, I have helped learners of varied backgrounds move from confusion to confidence through clear, structured teaching.
I believe mathematics should be taught with patience and empathy. Many students struggle due to gaps in understanding, so I focus on identifying and rebuilding those foundations carefully. I encourage open questions and create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable exploring ideas.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with mathematical problem-solving, academic resources, and applied mathematics contexts. Teaching math is deeply rewarding because I see learners gain confidence, independence, and pride in their growing abilities.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when learners understand the logic behind every step rather than relying on memorized formulas. My lessons focus on building strong conceptual clarity across arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and introductory calculus. I guide students to recognize patterns, relationships, and logical structures that connect different areas of mathematics. Each topic is introduced gradually, ensuring learners feel secure with fundamentals before progressing to more complex ideas.
Lesson pacing and depth are always adapted to individual needs. Beginners work on number sense, operations, and foundational reasoning with patient guidance and repetition. Intermediate learners strengthen algebraic manipulation, coordinate geometry, functions, and word problem strategies. Advanced learners focus on multi-step problem-solving, exam techniques, proofs, and analytical accuracy. Every session includes guided practice, clear walkthroughs, and reflective discussion to reinforce understanding.
Maths lessons also help learners build patience, focus, and confidence. As clarity improves, anxiety decreases and problem-solving becomes more enjoyable. My goal is to help students trust their reasoning process, approach challenges calmly, and develop a strong mathematical foundation that supports long-term academic success.
