About Calista
I learned that I have a passion for teaching math when I first helped a friend understand a math concept as a 3rd grader, and it's stayed alive, as I tutored math at Kumon tutoring center, and I'm now tutoring calculus at the University of Utah. I am confident in the tutoring I provide because of my work experience and my inclination to get to know my students and how they learn best.

I ask that the student give me a list of topics they want to work on before our first lesson. In the first lesson, I like to get to know the student, how they learn, and what they need from me as a tutor.
This is the structure I like to follow for my lessons:
5-10 min Warm-up or review from last lesson
40-50 min Homework help
5-10 min Student sets a goal and/or gives tutor (me) feedback
