About Gurpreet
Currently, working as an Assistant Professor at Dublin City University, I have 8 years’ experience in a professional environment at DCU, TCD and UCD. I have previously completed my PhD in Mathematics from UCD. I have been lecturing and tutoring mathematics modules since 2013 from one-on-one to smaller and larger groups (>30 students).

As a mathematics teacher, I believe that teaching mathematics is not an easy task to pin down. It requires passion and sound understanding of the teacher student dynamics. A teacher must know the ways of making mathematics more interesting and relevant for the students. A teacher must be capable of finding easier ways to tackle mathematical problems by relating them to the real life with examples from day-to-day life. By doing this, we can keep students motivated to learn mathematics. To understand maths we need patience and a lot of practice.
