About Lucia

My interest in Mathematics began with a fascination for patterns and logical reasoning. I completed my PhD in Mathematics after earning my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the subject. Over the past 8 years, I have helped students overcome challenges and develop confidence in their mathematical abilities.

I focus on making lessons simple, clear, and easy to follow. My teaching style includes step-by-step explanations, practical examples, and regular practice. I encourage students to ask questions and explore different ways to solve problems, which helps them build confidence and independence.

Outside teaching, I continue to engage with Mathematics through problem solving and research reading. This helps me keep my knowledge updated and my lessons effective. Teaching Maths is rewarding because I see students grow from uncertainty to confidence, and I enjoy supporting them in that journey.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes simpler when students understand the logic behind each concept instead of relying only on memorisation. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in algebra, geometry, calculus, and number systems through clear and structured explanations. I guide students step by step so they can understand how each solution is formed. This approach helps reduce mistakes and builds confidence over time.

Lessons are planned based on the student’s level and learning needs. Beginners focus on understanding basic concepts with simple examples and visual explanations. Intermediate learners work on applying methods to different types of problems and improving accuracy. Advanced students focus on solving complex problems, improving speed, and preparing for exams. Practice exercises and feedback are included in every lesson to support continuous improvement.

Mathematics also helps students develop logical thinking and analytical skills. As they begin to recognise patterns and relationships, they gain confidence in solving problems independently. My goal is to make Maths feel clear and manageable, helping students enjoy learning and build strong skills that support their academic journey.
