About Sandrine

I discovered my love for mathematics through exploring patterns, logical puzzles, and the structure behind natural phenomena, leading me to complete a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics. Over 9 years of teaching, I have worked with learners of diverse backgrounds, guiding them from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus and logical reasoning, focusing on clarity, structured explanations, and patient support to develop confidence and understanding.

My teaching approach is interactive, patient, and adaptive, combining worked examples, visual illustrations, and real-life applications to make abstract concepts tangible. I encourage students to explore solutions independently, ask questions, and develop creative problem-solving skills, ensuring that learning remains engaging and meaningful.

Beyond teaching, I continue to explore mathematical research, puzzles, and applied techniques to keep lessons current and inspiring. Seeing students grow from uncertainty to mastery, develop logical reasoning, and gain confidence in tackling challenging problems brings me immense satisfaction. My goal is to cultivate curiosity, analytical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for mathematics in every student I teach.

Mathematics becomes clear and engaging when students connect abstract concepts to practical examples and logical patterns. My lessons cover topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, and problem-solving strategies, presented in simple, step-by-step explanations. I emphasise reasoning and structured thinking, ensuring learners understand why formulae and methods work rather than just memorising them. Each session includes worked examples, interactive exercises, and guided problem-solving, giving students the tools to tackle challenges independently while building confidence and curiosity about the subject.

I tailor lessons according to the student’s level and pace. Beginners focus on understanding basic concepts, simple calculations, and stepwise reasoning. Intermediate learners explore multi-step problems, applied examples, and analytical thinking. Advanced learners tackle complex proofs, optimisation problems, and exam preparation strategies. Each lesson balances challenge with support, ensuring students build confidence, deepen conceptual understanding, and develop analytical skills they can apply beyond the classroom in exams, projects, or real-life problem solving.

Mathematics education strengthens logical reasoning, structured thinking, and confidence in approaching problems. As students practise methods, patterns, and problem-solving techniques, they gradually develop independence, accuracy, and intellectual curiosity. My goal is to nurture a sense of confidence and enjoyment in mathematics, helping learners see connections between abstract ideas and practical applications while building lifelong analytical skills.
