About Nivaan

My professional path in Mathematics began with an interest in how abstract ideas develop through reasoning. This led me to complete an M.Sc in Mathematical Analysis. Over 11 years of teaching, I have supported students from elementary school math through SAT math and Calculus preparation, helping them build confidence and independence. I emphasize clarity, empathy, and adaptability in teaching. I study how students think before adjusting explanations to suit their reasoning. Whether teaching algebraic manipulation or geometry logic, I focus on understanding rather than memorization. Outside teaching, I remain engaged with mathematics through problem exploration and continued study. Teaching Mathematics is rewarding because I witness students replace self-doubt with confidence, developing logical skills that support lifelong learning.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes less intimidating when students understand relationships instead of memorizing procedures. My lessons focus on developing strong reasoning across elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and advanced topics through structured explanation and guided thinking. I help learners see how ideas connect, enabling them to approach unfamiliar problems calmly and confidently. Lessons encourage discussion, reasoning, and reflection rather than speed-based performance.

Instruction adapts to each learner’s stage. Younger students strengthen number sense and reasoning through elementary school math foundations. Middle-level learners develop algebraic structure, proportional reasoning, and geometry visualization common in middle school math. Advanced students focus on algebra, SAT math strategies, and Calculus concepts with emphasis on logical flow and accuracy. Guided examples, independent practice, and reflective correction reinforce understanding.

Math lessons build patience, discipline, and analytical thinking. As students gain clarity, anxiety decreases and confidence grows. Many learners begin trusting their reasoning across subjects. My goal is to help students view mathematics as a logical, learnable system that rewards thoughtful effort and consistency.
