About Ethan
I am a mathematics graduate from the University of British Columbia in Canada, and I am currently studying graduate-level accounting at Concordia University. I have been a math tutor since I was in middle school, starting off by tutoring my friends and classmates, before moving on to advertising my services at a local level to all ages K-12 while I was in high school. In university, I joined the Math Learning Center at UBC, and frequently offered my services and help to first and second-year students, mostly regarding fundamental topics such as calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. I think what sets me apart is I have experience tutoring at all levels, all ages, and all different learning types, and regardless of who the student is, I find great joy in aiding them in their learning journey.

A typical lesson with me starts by understanding where you stand in regard the your learning material. What are your struggling with, where are you getting stumped, and what do you already know and excel at. This gives me a better picture on not only what to focus on, but also what type of learner you are and the teaching methods I should use to optimize comprehension.
The goal of each lesson is for you to be able to not only understand your material, but be able to explain it and your methods step by step, which exhibits mastery and complete comprehension.
