About Amber
I am a recent Durham University graduate with a BSc in Mathematics, and I'm currently studying for an MSc in Economics with Data Science at University of Bristol. Although I have always been passionate about maths, I realise that it does not come naturally to everyone, and that many students have a negative perception of the subject from school. Therefore, I am passionate about teaching maths to students in a new way in order that they can grow to understand it. Equally, I love working with students who are engaged in the subject already and feel as if I can further their learning in any way.
I have experience in tutoring a range of ages, both online and in person, and also completed a school placement between January and March this year as part of my undergraduate degree. This involved my successful design and implementation of a series of 6 lunchtime clubs targeted at students in Year 10 and above, which received a strong turnout.

Focused on the learner's needs - whether that be through working through past paper questions or teaching the fundamentals of a topic. All lessons will feature large amounts of worked examples as, in my experience, this is the best way for students to grasp a subject. I have experience in tutoring KS3, GCSE and A Level mathematics both remotely and in person so am happy to adapt to whatever we think works best! Lessons will be 1 hour as standard but again I am flexible if necessary.
