About Mackenzie
My passion for mathematics stems from a love of patterns, logical structures, and problem-solving. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, equipping me with expertise in both theoretical and applied areas. Over 12 years, I have taught students across diverse levels, helping them develop both conceptual clarity and practical problem-solving skills through structured, interactive, and engaging lessons.
I focus on making mathematics approachable, encouraging, and intellectually stimulating. Many learners face challenges with abstract concepts or prior gaps, so I break complex topics into manageable steps, provide relatable examples, and emphasize understanding rather than memorization. This approach ensures learners gain confidence, curiosity, and mastery.
Outside the classroom, I engage in mathematical research, competitions, and innovative teaching strategies that enrich lessons with current applications. Witnessing students progress from uncertainty to confidence, skill, and intellectual independence is immensely rewarding. Supporting learners in mastering mathematics while fostering curiosity and analytical thinking is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Mathematics lessons are designed to help learners develop strong conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I guide students through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, statistics, and analytical reasoning using step-by-step explanations, real-world applications, and interactive exercises. Lessons aim to make abstract ideas accessible while fostering curiosity, logical thinking, and independent learning in a supportive environment.
For beginners, lessons focus on building foundations with arithmetic operations, basic algebra, introductory geometry, and numerical reasoning. Intermediate learners work on multi-step problems, coordinate geometry, functions, probability models, and calculus applications. Advanced learners engage in proofs, optimization problems, combinatorics, and competition-style exercises. Lessons integrate guided practice, discussions, and personalized feedback to develop mastery and confidence.
Mathematics education also strengthens analytical thinking, resilience, and attention to detail. Students gain confidence in tackling complex problems and applying mathematical concepts to everyday and academic scenarios.
