About Ana-Maria

I was a tutor in Geometry and Linear Algebra at the University of Bucharest, preparing university students for their exams in these subjects. I completed my Master’s in AI and my Bachelor’s in Computer Science at the University of Bucharest. I worked for one year as an intern in Cloud and Market Technology Operations, and then for 1.5 years as a junior at the London Stock Exchange Group, where I analyzed data and calculations used to assess the risk of different transactions. I checked that everything worked correctly, identified errors, and helped improve the models used (either AI models or mathematical/statistical models).

I am currently looking for a job as a Machine Learning/AI engineer and have taken a short break from Finance. In the meantime, I offer tutoring because I am very passionate about teaching.

About the lesson

I adapt quickly to any level of mathematics knowledge (beginner, intermediate, high school, university). I start from the student’s current level and explain step by step, adjusting the pace and complexity to their needs.

Lessons typically last around 2 hours, more or less depending on the student’s age, level, and preferences. Lessons can take place either at my home or online.

For students preparing for exams, assessments, or competitions, I focus first on the exercises that require the most attention in order to maximize their scores. I can also tailor lessons based on the areas of mathematics that interest the student most and go deeper into those topics upon request.

I provide tips & tricks to learn faster and understand the material more easily. I use visual examples (including creating graphs or illustrations on platforms like GeoGebra) and practical, real-life examples.
