As a university student myself, I understand that learning is a personal process — what works for one person may not work for another. Hi, I'm David. My tutoring approach is based on working through presented problems and topics in advance with incorporation of similar worked through questions with visual aid. For more advance courses I include some theory and explanation of "why" a concept or formula works the way it does.
What to expect from a lesson:
- Before the scheduled lesson I would ask the student to present a topic/concept/ specific problem or homework.
- During the lesson I would go through visual problem solving techniques, then work through examples together.
- I would present a couple similar problems for the student to tackle independently with guided instructions.
- We will summarize each learned concept and important key-take aways.
The lessons are adapted to the student’s level and confidence/understanding.
