About Ellee
I have been tutoring since my freshman year of high school and have always enjoyed creating relationships with the people I tutor. I still check in on people I tutored years ago. I make sure the people I teach feel respected and safe. My main goal is to make sure the student feels comfortable with the subject and that they are going into the test feeling confident. I know test anxiety can be a big issue, but feeling like you have a strong foundation can really help.

I typically start by answering any questions and going over homework assignments, then I assist the student in making a "cheat sheet" with all of the material that they might need on a future test, with concepts and practice problems included. If the student struggles on a particular type of problem, I help them practice that problem until they feel comfortable, using both textbook problems and my own problems that I feel test their knowledge of the topic. If requested, I also check in with students on their assignments (from all classes) and make sure they are completed, helping them stay organized and on top of their classes. For younger students, I make sure to include breaks using fun math games and mind stimulating activities.
