I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance and learning approach. My goal is not only to help students solve problems but also to develop a deep understanding of the underlying concepts so they can apply them confidently in examinations and real-world situations.
My teaching is student-centered and adapted to each learner's needs, pace, and academic goals. I begin by identifying a student's strengths and areas for improvement before designing lessons that build knowledge step by step. I use clear explanations, worked examples, visual illustrations where appropriate, and plenty of guided practice to strengthen understanding. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning, helping them develop critical thinking and long-term problem-solving skills rather than relying on memorization.
A typical lesson starts with a brief review of previous material to reinforce learning. We then introduce new concepts using simple explanations and practical examples before working through increasingly challenging questions together. Each lesson concludes with a summary of key ideas, feedback on progress, and optional practice exercises to consolidate learning.
What sets me apart is my strong academic and professional background. I hold a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences, a Bachelor's degree in Financial Mathematics, and I am a published researcher in data science and credit risk modeling. My experience teaching university students, tutoring mathematics, and applying mathematics professionally enables me to connect theory with practical applications, making lessons both engaging and relevant.
