About Steven
I am a Mathematician with a Master of Science in Mathematics. I have taught courses at the university level so I know what may be expected of you if you are planning to go to college or are currently enrolled in college level math courses. I also have several years of tutoring experience with students ranging from 2nd grade to seniors in college, so I promise I won't just lecture at you as if you were taking a course. Best of all, I struggled to get my degree, I am not someone who is so brilliant that I can't explain things simply or understand your frustration (I promise I have made worse mistakes and asked more ridiculous than you could ever manage, so no need to be embarrassed about trying to learn)

My teaching methodology is whatever it needs to be for you to best learn and grow with the material. You have enough on your plate with trying to learn mathematics, I try to reduce that by figuring out what methods will be most appropriate for you. Of course, if you have a way you want to think about things or be taught I am happy to oblige. Lesson structure depends on your goals, if you only need to get through a course then we will need to treat that differently than if you need to master the material of the course. I usually start by looking at any suggested materials from your instructor (if you have one) and move on from there, Otherwise we can just talk about your interests and try to come up with an effective plan to supplement any other learning.
