About Zachary
Throughout my school life from K–12, I have always enjoyed helping my peers with problems, and I believe there are few things in life more satisfying than when you finally understand the solution.
During my HSC, I studied Math Extensions 1 and 2, achieving a 98 in both. I also studied Physics, attaining 94, and I ended up graduating with an ATAR of 99.20. Additionally, I'm in my second year at ANU, currently achieving a High Distinction average.

There is a fundamental problem with how mathematics is taught in high school — teachers brandish formulas that appear out of nowhere and expect students to memorise them. As seen over and over again, this method results in a severe dislike of math, and poor exam performance.
My approach centres around teaching students why something works, for I believe that the results will flow naturally from understanding the deeper concepts of mathematics. I strive not only to improve students' marks but to also shed light on the beauty of mathematics.
I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences at ANU. I have experience tutoring students, and my lessons are usually one hour. I am able to tutor at all high school levels for both maths and physics.
