About Herman
Hi! I am a Mathematical physics graduate from Imperial College London and King's College London with a First and Distinction. I am from Hong Kong but I have been in the UK for 12 years now. I also completed my GCSEs and A levels here with A*s across Maths, Further Maths and Physics! I have taught some Juniors in the past during my work as an archery instructor, but my greatest quality is my subject knowledge and understanding, which will allow me to really help you when you get confused by any technical aspects in mathematics.

My first session will always start with a brief chat with the student to assess their understanding of the content and their aim for these sessions, so that I can make a plan for the coming sessions that maximises their improvement in maths and physics.
During a regular lesson, I will start off with a short review on the current topic. We follow this up with a short discussion which gives the student an opportunity to bring up any concerns and questions they have. After this we will go through example questions as set out by the syllabus to strengthen the student's practical ability in the subject.
I believe that good understanding should be the key takeaway of these lessons. This is why there are plenty of opportunities for the student to talk informally during the discussion sections.
