About Courtney

I am a Qualified educator with 3.5 years in tutoring and about 2 years in full-time classroom teaching and have a passion for teaching. With all this time that has gone into teaching a vast group of students, I am constantly in a position where I feel great joy when my students get awards for their academics or achieve that goal that they have set for themselves. I thoroughly enjoy seeing when my students are finally able to master a concept that once brought them so much frustration. When I was a student in my school days, I felt that my teachers never focused enough on students actually having a clear understanding of the content but rather just completing the content. I aim to help students, especially students who are seen as difficult to manage in the classroom or have learning impairments such as ADHD, ADD, and Dyslexia. I am confident in what I do and give students the ability to aim high and achieve better results!

About the lesson

When it comes to teaching, I am a teacher that understands that all students are unique and different when it comes to their teaching and learning styles. I am proficient in English and Afrikaans. I am a teacher that accommodates students of different learning styles and learning levels and abilities.

Students can expect a tutor that is on her toes and strives to push her students to do their best. I always provide students with additional resources and work packs to aid in their learning and prepare them for the necessary assessments. I go out of my way to ensure that students are well prepared for any assessment and homework.

My lessons are always designed in such a way that they are fun and practical and that my students understand. I assist students with different learning styles by altering and designing activities based on their learning needs. Should a student be a visual learner, visual aids will be made use of to assist them.
