About Ryan
I am a dedicated professional with a strong background in Applied Mathematics and Business Economics from the University of Arizona, bringing together analytical skills and creative problem-solving in everything I do. Outside of my professional responsibilities, I am deeply dedicated to importantly improving lives through the power of education and mentorship. As a Regional officer of a nonprofit, Checkmate Dementia, I've grown to love bringing complex ideas like music and mathematics to life in ways that give back. Whether mentoring students, analyzing data, or leading collaborative projects, I aim to showcase the power of mathematics to solve real-world problems and drive meaningful results.

Our lessons can focus on algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus I/II concepts. After determining your level of understanding and current coursework demands, I will create basic lesson plans and walk through examples with you until you have mastery of necessary concepts. I find that the traditional academic process of learning mathematics is fundamentally misguided. In elementary through high school, I was always taught to memorize formulas and principles without question or conversation, leaving many of my own questions unanswered. When this occurred, I genuinely disliked mathematics as a topic until I took a step back and realized mathematics at its core is humanity's best attempt to make sense of the world around us. From that point on, I fell in love with mathematics. In our lessons, my highest priority is providing you with a way to represent mathematical ideas in a way that makes most sense to you.
