About Theodore

I am an experienced mathematics tutor with over 7 years of helping students build strong mathematical foundations. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, which has equipped me with both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching skills. Throughout my career, I have supported many high school students preparing for IB and A-Level mathematics exams. I understand how challenging these programs can be and tailor my lessons to suit each student’s pace and understanding.

My approach emphasizes conceptual clarity and logical thinking. Instead of simply memorizing steps, students learn the reasoning behind each concept. I also encourage exploring different methods for solving problems so students develop flexibility in their thinking.

About the lesson

I focus on building students’ confidence and proficiency in mathematics while enhancing their ability to work with data. Mathematics is more than memorizing formulas—it’s about understanding patterns, analyzing information, and solving meaningful problems. I teach Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and extend into data interpretation, graphing, and statistical analysis. Students also learn to recognize numerical trends and apply mathematics to research tasks.

My methodology blends step-by-step explanations with structured exercises that develop logical and analytical thinking. Students work with datasets, graphs, and practical problems to strengthen quantitative reasoning. Careful analysis and deep reading of problems are emphasized so students fully understand what each question asks.

I am skilled at supporting math-averse learners, helping them grow confidence while building strong reasoning skills. Analytical learners are challenged to refine their data analysis and problem-solving strategies. Lessons are designed to be structured, engaging, and supportive. Students gradually gain the skills to interpret data, analyze trends, and excel academically.
