About Papa
My name is Papa and I am a recent New York University (NYU) alumnus. My concentration was in Mathematics and Economics. I have two years tutoring experience in college. I worked with students both in class but also directly whenever they needed assistance with the material. I also helped students practice concepts in Pre-algebra, Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus. In addition to tutoring, I also lead a team of software programmer to create unique practice problems for both precalculus and calculus students. Lastly, I was also the president of the Math discovery club which was a voluntary effort to make middle and high schoolers from the bronx fall in love with math and hopefully become math majors in college.

During my sessions, I always work hard to build a fantastic rapport with my students. I take the time to know what my students’ strengths, personality, interests and individual needs are. From there, I also share my interests, experience, strengths and weaknesses. I do so to make my students understand that tutoring is a two way exchange of ideas and perspectives. By establishing this baseline I am able to adapt to my student’s needs and therefore make our sessions instructive, fun and productive.
