About Jing
I have a strong academic background in mathematics and extensive experience taking competitive exams. Throughout my studies, I have taken many math-related standardized tests and achieved perfect or near-perfect scores. This experience allows me to understand how exams are designed and what strategies help students perform at their best. My teaching approach focuses on helping students truly understand math concepts and develop strong problem-solving skills rather than memorizing formulas. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses, then explain concepts step-by-step with clear examples and guided practice. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, learning a key SAT math concept, practicing problems together, and discussing strategies to avoid common mistakes and improve speed and accuracy. With a strong quantitative background in actuarial science and applied analytics, I am able to explain math in a clear and logical way. I work with middle school and high school students preparing for SAT Math or strengthening their algebra and geometry foundations, and I tailor lessons to each student’s level, goals, and pace.
