About Hannah
I have tutored students in elementary to precalculus math for a year. In addition, I have finished up to Calculus AB. I don’t like to focus on mechanizing how to solve problems; instead, I like to focus on understanding. If the student doesn’t understand one strategy, I will explain it with others until we find one that works for their form of learning. I can tutor in English or Spanish and subjects from K-11th Grade, including integrated math 1-3, Algebra 1 & 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, Precalculus (and AP exam prep).

In a typical lesson, we begin by reviewing the student’s current topics or homework to identify areas of confusion. I then explain the underlying concepts in a clear and simple way before working through examples together. Students are encouraged to attempt problems on their own while I guide and correct their thinking as needed. Depending on the student’s goals, sessions may focus on homework support, test preparation, or building long-term understanding of key math concepts.
