About Aanvi

I am a University of Toronto student with a strong academic background in mathematics, including calculus and trigonometry, and a proven ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively. About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centred on building strong conceptual understanding alongside problem-solving confidence. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps so students not only learn how to solve problems, but also understand why each step works. I adapt my teaching style to each student, whether they need foundational support in arithmetic or more advanced guidance in trigonometry and calculus.

In a typical lesson, I start by identifying areas of difficulty and reviewing key concepts. I then walk through examples step-by-step, encouraging the student to actively participate rather than passively listen. This is followed by guided practice, where students solve problems with my support, and finally independent questions to reinforce learning. I also incorporate exam-style questions and strategies to help students perform under time pressure.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect different areas of math and explain them in a clear, structured way. As a University of Toronto student with strong analytical and quantitative experience, I bring both academic rigour and a practical, patient teaching style. I aim to build confidence and make math feel more approachable and less intimidating.
