About Tim
Hello! My name is Tim, I’m 24, and I’m a math teacher at CCSD. I taught 7th grade math this year and Algebra 1 before that. I took lots of math courses in college: calculus 1, calculus 2, calculus 3, statistics, discrete math. I see a beauty in the numbers that make up our world, and I’d like to help you see that beauty as well.

Math is its own language. Once you become fluent in it you can apply it in fun and interesting ways. We will discuss the things in the world that you find most fascinating and I will tailor your lessons so you can see the real world application of the math you are doing. We will start with an overview of the math you need help with, what the equations mean and where they came from. Then I’ll work with you on a number of example problems followed by you doing some on your own. Then we will talk about where this math applies in the real world and everyday life. We’ll work through some real world examples together and then you will have a better, deeper understanding of math than when we began
