About Alexandra
My qualifications include a BA in Mathematics, a Teaching Certification in NYS for grades 7-12th in Mathematics, SAT/ACT tutoring training, and my MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology. I believe my deep love for pure mathematics alongside my knowledge of common core, IB, AP, and the ACT, SAT, and collegiate-level algebra allows me to help students fall in love with mathematics.

During my years as a high school mathematics teacher, I have taught mathematics from 7th to 12th grade. I have a deep love for all mathematics and hope to share that with students in my time as a tutor. My favorite part about tutoring is helping a student realize that math is for everyone, and it is vital to find the right approach for you, because everyone learns differently! I hope to spread my love of mathematics to all students.
I have worked as an IB and MYP instructor, and have been both an IB and AP student myself. My Masters in Curriculum Development has helped me gain a substantial understanding of mathematics education across the United States, supported by BA in Mathematics. I am a certified 7th-12th grade math teacher, and love all types of math; from simplifying fractions all the way to differential equations and real analysis.
