About Alex
I think that the best way to find out what you're passionate about is to try to become proficient in many things. Not mastery, save that for your passion, but you can never know what you don't explore. I try my best to make the learning experience memorable and something that a student can look forward to, no matter the difficulty.

My approach as a tutor is based on clarity, structure, and active learning. I focus on breaking complex ideas into understandable parts and then building them back up through examples and practice. I prioritize conceptual understanding over memorization, ensuring students not only know how to solve problems but why those methods work.
My lesson plan does not follow a strict structure. First, I ask each student for a brain dump of what they currently know about the topic of discussion, which then allows me to better diagnose areas in need of improvement. As I get to know a student I try to tailor my tutoring to their needs and learning style. So if a student learns best via inquiry based techniques, practice problems, visual aids, or simple lecture, that is what I will primarily focus on.
My lessons are for a broad audience, whether that is middle school students, high school students, students preparing for standardized exams, or simply anyone who is curious about a subject I can teach.
