About Ryan
I studied Applied Math at the University of California, Berkeley and then spent over 15 years working at Salesforce and Google, including several years as a subject matter expert advising many of Google’s largest enterprise customers on performance marketing best practices.
Now based in the Pacific Northwest and coming out of a recent data analytics course, also through UC Berkeley, I’m working to build up a consulting and education practice so I can continue to do the work that I’m passionate about from my own home office.
Outside of work I’m a husband and a father of two wonderful girls. I enjoy camping, cooking, racquetball, golf, exploring Oregon’s natural beauty, and just spending quality time with my family and friends.

My lessons are entirely tailored around the specific needs and goals of my students. I truly love math and helping others to better understand and apply it, whether basic arithmetic, advanced calculus, or anything in between.
In many cases that involves being very clear about the objective of each lesson, topics to be covered, and the process we'll go through to help students to better understand those topics. I'm also open to more reactive lessons, somewhat like office hours, where students raise questions or topics on the fly to get help with whatever is most pressing at the time.
