About Christian
I'm currently in grad school, working on a PhD. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics in 2019. During that time, I spent two years as a teaching assistant, tutoring students in basic mathematical coding as well as number theory. Outside of school, I was a martial arts instructor for 6 years. Unofficially, I've also been helping/tutoring fellow students in math subjects since before I started high school.

My approach for teaching revolves around working through problems with my students. I usually show an example of a problem first, explaining how I would go through solving each step. Next, I present a problem to the student and work with them in solving it, essentially guiding them through the process. I stay on this step until I'm confident they can handle a problem on their own. Lastly, I allow them to work through a problem by themselves, occasionally giving a nudge in the right direction if I see them struggling. Through my experience in Martial arts, I've learned the importance of individuality. Since every student learns differently, I try to personalize each lesson.
