About Kimberly
I believe in teaching the student, not the subject. I'm patient, supportive, and understanding of the whole person. I encourage students because I believe anyone can do math with the right attitude, effort, and support. I stay positive because I know how it feels to struggle in a math class. I'm resilient because I don't let challenges stop me from trying. Failure will be part of the process, but that's how we learn and grow.

Depending on your goals, we could either use tutoring for reviewing old lessons or learning new lessons. Reviewing would consist of practicing problems and examples together based on your skill level and progress from there. With learning a new lesson, I would need to assess what you know in order to move forward. I like to emphasize the importance of mathematical vocabulary and symbolism because it is a language. I believe in practice because it is a skill and the variability is infinite. Depending on the level, I can make problems on the spot or I have access to materials with great practice.
